A member of the K-pop group The Boyz, Juyeon has established a strong relationship with the fashion world during his career. The singer has attended shows from Gucci and Fendi in the past and became a confirmed guest at Balenciaga’s front rows in the last two years. Juyeon attended Balenciaga’s spring 2025 fashion show in Shanghai on May 30 and the brand’s womenswear fall 2024 ready-to-wear show in February.

In April, Juyeon joined Kate Moss, Danish model Mona Tougaard and Chinese actress Yang Chaoyue in Balenciaga’s “Le City” campaign, which was shot by Mario Sorrenti.

The relationship between Juyeon and Balenciaga reflects a recent trend in the fashion industry: renowned houses are connecting with K-pop stars to reach new audiences. In the past couple of years, Gucci, Celine, Chanel, Dior, Louis Vuitton, Tiffany & Co. and other brands have announced K-pop singers as their ambassadors.

The Balenciaga fall 2024 couture show was held at the brand’s historic couture salons on Avenue George V. Creative director Demna took inspiration from “four key house codes with his own, alternative-minded fashion universe,” WWD reported. Nicole Kidman, Katy Perry, Naomi Watts and more stars attended the show.
