The High Court at Milimani has upheld election of Nixon Korir as Langata Member of Parliament.
The ODM Party candidate in the election, Oscar Omoke, who came second in the hotly-contested race moved to court claiming the election was marred by irregularities and illegalities that were in favor of Korir.
Justice Njuguna has directed that the petitioner Oscar Omoke pays Ksh 5 Million as the costs.
Nixon Korir was declared the winner after garnering 41,086 votes against Mr. Omoke’s 39,593.
Langata Constituency was hitherto viewed as an ODM constituency having been represented by NASA Leader Raila Odinga from early 1990s.
