Former Inspector General of Police David Mwole Kimaiyo has been appointed as Chairman of the Board of Management of the Kenyatta National Hospital.

Kimaiyo replaces Mark Kipkemoi Arap Borat KNH which has of late been mired in professional negligence controversy resulting to the suspension of Lily Koros Tare as CEO of the country’s and the region’s largest referral hospital.

Yesterday the Auditor General declared entire board illegally constituted because 36% are from one ethic community.

The new Chairman Kimaiyo holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminology and Criminal Administration and a Master of Science in Criminology and Criminal Justice from the University of South Africa and University of Leicester, respectively.

Kimaiyo unsuccessfully vied for the Senate in Elgeyo Marakwet County losing to incumbent Onesmus Murkomen.
