H.E Raila Odinga and the Governor of Kirinyaga County Ms Anne Waiguru held a meeting this afternoon and agreed to put aside differences that arose from the loss of funds at the National Youth Service during the first Jubilee regime.

Ms. Waiguru was the Cabinet Secretary in the ministry when the scandal erupted in the first Jubilee regime.

After a meeting at Hon Odinga’s Capitol Hill offices, the two leaders announced that they had agreed to “let by-gones be by-gones” and leave the matter of the NYS scandal in the hands of investigators.

Ms Waiguru said her case against Mr Odinga is now settled in the spirit of reconciliation that the nation has embarked on. The two leaders also reviewed the status of devolution in the country and agreed to exchange views frequently on how to address the challenges.
