NASA Leader Raila Odinga  has moved to quell reports that he would quit politics after the recent lucrative appointment at African Union Commission.

Raila who spoke for the first time over his appointment told off those peddling propaganda that he would quit local politics to stop wasting their time and instead focus their energy on things that are useful.

Deputy President William Ruto allies had told Raila Odinga to focus on his continental appointment instead of meddling in local politics ahead of 2022 Uhuru’s succession.

However Raila while speaking in Yimbo, Siaya county at the burial former Jaramogi Oginga Odinga ally William Odhiambo Okello, reminded them that he will play an active role in Uhuru’s succession politics.

I want to clarify that the recent appointment will not affect my political ambitions, My main office will be in Nairobi, even though I will be moving across the continent occasionally ” Raila said.

Raila’s sentiments were echoed by Oburu Odinga who reminded the mourners of the struggles Jaramogi went through as a son of Raila who was a pauper by all standards.

” Raila was born a politician and politics runs in his blood, those wishing him to quit politics are daydreaming. He is there to stay” Oburu Odinga
