Mbita Member of Parliament Millie Odhiambo Mabona has lauded the initiative taken by president Uhuru Kenyatta to fight theft in government saying those found to have embezzled public funds must face the law.
Millie was addressing residents of Kamureri and Wakulla villages when she distributed title deeds to the residents who for a long time have been having land conflicts over the pieces of land they live in.
Millie a known critic of Uhuru Kenyatta pledged to support the President in the war of graft warning the she was ready to deal anyone who jokes with him.
“We are fully and totally behind the President in fighting corruption. I can tell you in the past I have been known to be unfriendly to the presidency. Right now if anybody jokes with the President they will find me head on. I will deal with them mundu khumundu, Millie said.
Millie also praised the handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and NASA Leader Raila Odinga saying her constituency had already benefiting from services courtesy of the handshake.
She said security was improved for fishermen in Remba courtesy of the handshake promising Mbita residents of many other benefits.
