A rattled National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale told Parliament in the afternoon that Raila – Moi talks and the Harambee house handshake won’t affect Ruto’s politics of 2022.
The Garissa town Member Of Parliament told off the leaders who were excited after accompanying NASA leader Raila Odinga who held talks with the Ex President at his Kabarak home in the morning.
Duale was telling off Tiaty Mp William Kamket warning him not to be excited by the visit.
”Kamket may have been excited, this should not excite him. Your visit is just an extension of the handshake. Mr Speaker the handshake moved from Harambee House to Kabarak today”, Duale said.
Duale warned those who were tying the visit to 2022 politics to forget it as it will have not impact on the presidential elections.
”It’s good to visit Mzee Moi to say sorry to him, he served us well in 24 years. But those who are in the race for 2022 don’t need such visit, face we who are on the other side”, duale said.
Raila was accompanied by Vihiga Senator George Khaniri and Mvita MP Abdulswammad Sharrif Nassir.
Duale has consistently said that they won’t allow discussion on electoral reforms and change of governance structure whatsoever. He insists the handshake should be about unity and achieving Jubilee’s four pillars.
