Uhuru’s Swearing planning Committee members have revealed the exercise will cost Kenyan Taxpayers Ksh 300 Million.
The chair of the 22 member committee, Mr Joseph Kinyua defended the budget saying it’s modest given the magnitude of visitors expected to attend the occasion.
The committee however didn’t break down how they intend to use the Ksh 300 Million set aside for the event.
Government Spokesman Eric Kiraithe had revealed the treasury was cash strained blaming it on long political period making it difficult for Kenya Revenue Authority to collect proper revenue.
Kinyua who was addressing the press on preparations also used that opportunity to invite all Kenyans to attend Uhuru’s inauguration.
