Budalangi MP Raphael Wanjala is recorded here humiliating and elbowing out Foreign Affairs CAS and former area MP Ababu Namwamba.
Ababu had invited guests top among them his colleague CAS at Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure Chris Obure to inspect the ongoing project of Sigiri bridge construction.
However, chaos ensued after angry youth accosted Namwamba following his arrival at Sigiri bridge with Obure to inspect ongoing road and bridge construction.
The Budalangi MP Raphael Wanjala was later on arrested by flying squad officers at a Kisumu hotel after being accused of attacking foreign affairs chief administrative secretary Ababu Namwamba and officials from the Kenya Rural Roads Authority (KERRA) and the Kenya National Highways authority (KENHA) at Thigiri Bridge, Budalangi on April 13.
It’s alleged that the MP incited supporters to confront Ababu and even threw stones at the aircraft they were travelling in when he found out that he was not invited to attend the inspection and official opening of Sigiri Bridge.
